Monday/Tuesday March 10/11 2025 -Tennessee road trip day 12 and wrap up - St Clairsville OH to home - No walks

St Clarisville OH was really an inexpensive convenient alternative to staying at the Wheeling Island Casino in Wheeling WV.  We went to the casino late Sunday night so our start Monday morning wasn't very early.  The drive home was partly up OH-7, a highway which very closely follows the scenic but sometimes industrial Ohio river for hundreds of miles along Ohio's border with West Virginia and Indiana amongst a few other states I think.  We took it from St Clairsville to East Liverpool or about 60 miles.  From there I tried OH-170 north out of East Liverpool about 30 slow but scenic miles until Petersburg Ohio, along the Pennsylvania border.  From there we took local roads North and East going past the bizarrely named municipality of S.N.J.P Pennsylvania, the first few paragraphs at least of the Wikipedia page about it are worth reading.

Next up we drove on the farthest North (and free) 20 miles of PA-376, a road generally associated closely with tolls and Pittsburgh but thoroughly rural and free north of Beaver PA.  From there we had a brief and speedy rip down I-80 East to I-79 North which always seems lightly traveled and fast.  Lunch was in Erie PA at Chick-Fil-A.  From there I sucked it up and took I-90 through Western NY, Buffalo and all the way home.  It was actually very efficient and there was very little traffic.  We got home about 5 pm and it was nice to be done driving.

Tuesday we enjoyed having the day to shop and prepare for a return to our normally scheduled lives.  We reflected on what a truly great trip we had with good weather, good people, good food and good times.  This entire trip set a high bar that we'll be comparing our next trip to for sure.  It was also great to get home to the cat.  It takes Leo a few days to return to normal after being mostly alone for so long with just a few visits each day from our lovely neighbor who feeds and plays with him in our absence.
