Saturday February 3rd 2024 - Road walk at Gillies Hill State forest - Near Birdsall NY - 4 miles, just 285 feet elevation gain

I think this plot of our path shows the lackluster nature of our walk.  I've been sick for a week so a very boring nearly flat walk on snowy state forest roads is probably what I needed but it wasn't what we really wanted.  We could have continued somewhat farther down the gently curving road that headed SE but it was almost as boring as the other roads and kept going downhill which meant more uphill walking back out of it and ultimately I think 4 miles is decent for a first hike after being down sick for a week.
